The Scientific Advisory Board of ValER is presided by the Scientific Director and by not less than five and not more than nine members, appointed by the Board at the proposal of the Presidency of the Fundación among persons of recognised prestige and competence in the scientific world.
The Scientific Advisory Board has the following functions:
- Identify the strategic research lines for the Comunitat Valenciana.
- Advise the Board with regard to the scientific objectives of the Fundación.
- Propose the composition of the evaluation committees.
- Establish the criteria for the selection procedures for hiring scientific personnel.
